Kowloon City Dialysis Centre
| The centre was set up in December 1981 to provide subsidized haemodialysis (blood-washing) treatment for patients with end stage kidney failure. This was made possible by a donation from Dr. Li Ka Shing to set up the first charitable haemodialysis centre in Hong Kong. Currently, the centre has 9 haemodialysis machines to provide subsidized hameodialysis treatment for up to 54 patients. With the subsidy, the cost to patient is about $1000-1200 per dialysis treatment (pending on the amount of subsidy granted).
